Job Summary
Our growing company is seeking to hire a Project Manager who assures quality workmanship and on time delivery to the client for all projects assigned. Responsibility includes the efficient utilization of PARWLC resources to enhance the return on investment of these resources. The PM does not have the authority to hire or terminate employees.
Responsibilities:
This position is subject to supervision of progress and results. Among the incumbent’s major responsibilities are the following:
- Project Management
- Point of contact with our client(s)
- Direct project supervision and project work flow
- Coordinate and provide support to field supervision and subcontractors in the form of documents, schedule, and other office functions
- Maintain proper levels of quality control
- Meet all project schedules
- Efficient utilization of resources
- Communicate project status to management, field supervisions, and to the client
- Develop project specifications and implement practices which will achieve defined objectives to the satisfaction of the client and of management
- Additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned
- Maintain working knowledge of utility company policy and procedures in order to communicate effectively with field supervision, subcontractors, and staff from client companies
- Field Office Administration
- Direct any assigned support staff and work product as a result of the project, including but not limited to QA/QC, as-builts, submittals, etc.
- Business Development (as assigned)
- Develop and expand the relationship with the existing client while increasing work
- Identify, Prospect, and develop new clients
- Occasional travel required
Requirements:
- Five (5) + years of experience in utility and/or telecom sectors (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree, PMP, Construction or Project Management Certification, or equivalent experience preferred
- Background in electrical utility and/or telecom preferred
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
- Ability to work within client third party software systems
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Desire Microsoft Project or P6 experience
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
