Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery and completion of the CLARIFIRE® application implementations and related client projects. In this role, the Project Manager is responsible for leveraging the talents of Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and Trainers that deliver the business design, technical design, development, testing, support and maintenance of all projects for the specified client to ensure timely implementation. Extremely strong logistical skills, accountability, analytical process, and strong communications skills are required for this position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the overall coordination of the individual projects, including managing scheduling, assigning and prioritizing tasks, motivating resources, leading project status and working meetings, and resolving problems to meet the needs of the client and Clarifire.
- Create project management artifacts, such as project plan, project schedule, and associated task dependencies, risk list, scope documentation, and project closeout.
- Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, ongoing project health analysis, and issue tracking to both internal and client management.
- Monitor and evaluate progress of projects to ensure they are meeting a high level of quality and on track with client expectations, re-evaluate and make recommendations to remove obstacles when necessary.
- Support the Client Delivery team in managing client expectations for project deliverables and status communications and act as the central point of contact for all communications relating to the project.
- Participate in client interactions and meetings to ensure cross training, client satisfaction and management involvement as needed and ensure reporting and communications are frequent and bi-directional.
- Must work effectively in a dynamic software development environment with matrix reporting structure.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of executive management, supervisors, functional processors, and internal teams.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management theory and practices. Adhere to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and with high quality standards to meet and exceed client expectations and organizational goals.
- Proven ability to identify and remove impediments and implement process improvements to deliver projects more efficiently.
- Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
- Professional experience in a customer-facing role with strong communication skills.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field is required.
- 4+ years of Professional Services project management utilizing agile methodologies.
- PMP certification preferred; agile certification highly desirable.
- Have a solid understanding of agile software development.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills and reporting capabilities.
- Financial Services/Mortgage lending experience preferred.
