Role: Project Manager
Duration: 12 Months (Contract) W2
Location: Hartford, CT (Remote)

Job Details:
- Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Serves as point of contact and works with cross-disciplinary team to manage and oversee all aspects of project implementation. Manages project risks, issues, escalation, and facilitates decision making.
- Lead and/or assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving key internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Evaluates pricing and validity for all change orders.
- Organizes and develops project meetings, communication plans, project trackers, executive briefings, etc. Develops spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
- Ensures the project requirements of the functional teams are addressed; works with technical leads to ensure technology deliverables are executed within the scope
- Initiates work orders and/or provisioning requests detailing task requirements and due dates.
- Delegates tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
- Performs quality control throughout the project cycle to maintain the expected standards.
- Conducts advisory council updates, town halls, and training sessions in support of project activities.
- Maintains an open dialog with users, responding to inquiries and collaborating with constituents.
- May perform field site surveys, inspections, develop checklist items, and oversee closeout processes.
- May inventory and coordinate the removal of old network equipment through appropriate State and/or University procedures for inventory management, surplus, and/or disposal.
- May monitor facilities construction processes including prevailing wage oversight, contractor work safety, etc.
- Supports the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University information as part of the overall University Information Security Program
- Uses and continually develop project management and leadership skills, attends conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency and/or certifications.
