Group Benefit Solutions is looking for a Senior Associate level Project Manager to help build out our Project Management capabilities in support of business strategic goals. In this role, the Project Manager will work closely with their manager and business stakeholders to support the planning and execution of projects in our portfolio. Interpersonal skills will play a key role in fostering a collaborative team environment while driving accountability. Our team provides PM support for new implementation (end-to-end) as well as change management activities associated with an Agile delivery model. The project manager will be invested in understanding project objectives and act as a change champion. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with proficiency in MS Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Project, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint and OneDrive).

Responsibilities

  • Draft executive level communication materials to drive the decision-making process among project sponsors and other executive stakeholders within the company.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and generate artifacts in compliance with our service model.
  • Schedule and chair status meetings with agenda and minutes, be a source of good energy while engaging others and participate in discussions.
  • Adhere to project delivery governance processes, communications plans, and cadence, including collection of regular project status reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize appropriate project management tools (e.g., MS Office tools & templates, Visio for workflows and SharePoint) for requirements and timeline tracking.
  • Oversee task execution and dependencies keeping the "big picture" in mind during meetings and discussions, particularly if there are scope and/or resource adjustments.
  • Manage the day-to-day aspects of the life cycle and ensure that tasks are accomplished timely and accurately.
  • Ensure that projects run smoothly on schedule, proactively identifying risk/issues and appropriately escalating concerns to your manager with proposed mitigation plans and next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Business related)
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum master certification is not required, but desirable
  • Experience; 3+ years managing mid-to-large scale projects (3-6 month in duration)
  • Desire to grow professionally and represent best practices
  • Ability to establish priorities, confirm / communicate decisions, work on multiple assignments, and adhere to deadlines
  • Innovative thinker who is self-motivated to learn and look for ways to improve our process
  • Comfortable dealing with some ambiguity and willingness to pivot quickly when needed

Salary range: $65,000-$100,000

Overtime eligible: Exempt
