We own and operate 33 television stations and two radio stations, reaching 21 million U.S. television households across 39 states. We boast a robust product suite including websites, mobile apps, OTT streaming apps and an in-house CMS all committed to providing the highest quality delivery of critical and engaging content for consumers.

This is an entry level role that requires you to bring your excitement for local media and your skills in digital project/program/scrum management to play a significant role in driving the delivery of our digital product roadmap. In general, you will support the needs of the digital team including but not limited to; running meetings, pulling numbers, drafting reports and presentations, vetting vendors, training and communicating new practices, writing requirements, maintaining documentation, etc.

Critical Skills: knowledge of agile practices, superior facilitation organization and coordination, effective and creative problem solving, adaptable and collaborative

Responsibilities
  • Run point on projects, executing project related tasks as needed
  • Effective and frequent communication within a distributed team environment
    • Learn the audiences and leverage the best tools available to effectively facilitate the conversation
  • Proactively and constantly assess, plan and mitigate to keep the team running smoothly with minimal blockers and frustrations
  • Collaborate effectively across our various digital teams to identify and deliver the best possible solutions on a daily basis
  • Coach and guide the team using agile principles
    • Act as Scrum Master for one or more teams
    • Apply a combination of agile and scrum practices to best organize the team for maximum efficiency
  • Continual landscaping of new tools, technologies and workflows to better support our team
  • Domestic travel, occasionally
Requirements
  • You have a BS/BA or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • You have 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a Project Management related role
  • You have a good understanding of Scrum and other Agile development techniques
  • You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • You have proven ability to build consensus within cross-functional environments
  • You have experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, G Suite, and/or similar
  • You have a general understanding of development lifecycles
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM) is a bonus
