PROJECT MANAGER

Under direction of the Sr. Project Manager manage enhancements to HIM systems and processes and provide support in the areas of process redesign and procedure revisions related to the electronic medical record. Develop and implement training curriculum and provide support for organization wide and department specific systems and processes. Identify functional needs related to medical record integrity, patient identity management, information governance, security and access. Evaluate HIM functionality that could be addressed by enhancements to automated solutions to support operations and organizational goals. Support and manage operational, analytical and technical projects related to the integrity, completeness and quality of the medical record, health information exchange, HIPAA compliance, data security and access, and coding and compliance to a diverse clientele across the organization.

Education/Knowledge:

High School Diploma. Two years experience.

Knowledge of computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, presentations etc.

Knowledge of workflow technology and project management.

Experience in a complex healthcare facility with knowledge of HIM functioning preferred.

Experience in managing projects.

Communication skills - both oral and written.

Satisfactory combination of education/knowledge/experience.
