Job Description
Cortica is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team!
Under the direction of the Cortica Director of Program Management, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery and management of multiple projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management. The individual in this role is responsible for providing management with regular project updates, creating and maintaining trusting relationships, working with clients to formalize project requirements and scope of each project phase, identifying and managing project issues, identifying project risks early, and assisting by providing prudent and timely recommendations for risk response. In addition, the person in this position supports, trains, and educates staff in all aspects of project management processes and partners with stakeholders to collect feedback on potential improvements of project management processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle project management of multiple complex IT Projects. Creates and maintains project documentation – charters, PM plans, schedules, status reports, change requests etc. Monitoring and controlling of execution phase to ensure that projects are completed on time and meets all business and system requirements. Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are achieved.
- Reviews project proposals to help define project scope, formalize requirements through simple use case documents, and document project objectives, and working in collaboration with the technical implementation team determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available departmental resources. Works with management and stakeholders for approvals as needed.
- Applies detailed understanding of business processes and technical approaches to develop user acceptance criteria, integration, and other test scripts to completely test functionality being added to new and existing Cortica services. Ensures results of all testing are fully documented, client is satisfied with test results and appropriate sign-offs are obtained.
- Applies Scrum and Agile methodologies to appropriate projects including the management of release cycles, gathering of client feedback, tracking progress against the sprints. Has the ability to serve as a Scrum Master if needed and drive the team towards completion of the project.
- Develops and maintains standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation required by our project management practices which would include detailed project management plans, schedules, status reports, PPM toolset updates, roles & responsibilities list, risks, issues, monthly budget forecasts, and project closing documentation.
- Communicates effectively with sponsors, stakeholders, and team members. Reports on the status, issues, key activities, and any changes to the charter of the overall project. Identifies and communicates resource conflicts. Provides presentations on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Builds a close working relationship with clients/vendors.
- Conducts project completion reviews, resource and vendor assessments and creates recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Participates in the evaluation, selection, maintenance and continuous enhancements of project management methodology, tools, and templates, and contributes to the overall improvement of project management processes.
- Provides day-to-day support and guidance to Cortica staff on all aspects of Project Management processes.

- You possess a Bachelors’ Degree in a “Human Services” or related field.
- Project Management experience
- You are customer service oriented –friendly, cheerful, and helpful to clients and others while following Cortica policies and procedures.
- You can collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the needs of the clients are being met, can identify opportunities to improve service and propose solutions to implement.
- You can research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for clients, think proactively and set follow-ups as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to convey information in a clear, concise way, synthesizing information and presenting it to families and team members.
- You are skilled at using software and systems including electronic medical record systems, workflow management and Microsoft Office products.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a healthcare organization
- Project Management certifications including PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or similar

The base pay range for this opening is $80,000 to $100,000. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
