Job Description

Rockwell Automation is doing things never before possible. We connect the imaginations of people with the potential of technology to make the world more intelligent, more connected and more productive. From improving the production of medicines that boost human health to reducing waste in an oil and gas plant, the work we do changes how we live. We help the world work better and people work smarter and are looking for bright minds to make that happen. The makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers. That's where you come in.

As a Project Manager, you will work with Program Managers and Business Managers to bring our product roadmaps to life. Your responsibilities span the product development life cycle from project initiation, through development and test, to product release. In this role, you will:

  • Partner with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop and manage project delivery plans, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Look beyond the current project state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and proactively put mitigation and contingency plans in place.
  • Bring stakeholders together to resolve complex project issues and risks in the best interest of the Business.
  • Concisely communicate progress, decisions, key issues, risks, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project alignment across other initiatives to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
  • Provide input to product roadmaps and strategies to optimize new product and feature delivery.

This position is focused on managing new products comprised of electronic hardware and embedded software. You will develop a plan and coordinate delivery across hardware and embedded software engineering teams, which are using an agile methodology. You will work closely with our manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure the plant is ready to build the product when released. Facilitating decisions and taking initiative to address issues and risks early are key to your success in this role.

Project teams may consist of resources in global facilities. Working with an international team may be required on some projects. Some travel, including both domestic and international, may be required to meet with team members and facilitate project progress.

You will be supported with mentorship and coaching. With success in this role, you will have the opportunity to grow into roles with increased scope and responsibility.

We also offer a Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can flex with your personal life.
