Job Description:

Description: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Typical Duties:

  1. Demonstrates ownership and accountability for project results, resolving any issues and solving problems throughout project life cycle.
  2. Partners with stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.
  3. Manages project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved.
  4. Creates a work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task within project.
  5. Creates a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed; determine how results will be measured.
  6. Tracks and reports project milestones and provides timely status reports to organizational leaders.
  7. Communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders, acts as a mediator coach and motivates project team members on a proactive basis to foster the cohesive functioning of the interdisciplinary team.
  8. Maintains timely, effective communications with the department leadership regarding all events or proposed changes which might impact regulatory issues or policies or procedures.
  9. Interacts effectively with others within the Hospital District, other outside agencies, and the community.
  10. Completes a post-project evaluation to determine how well results are achieved.
  11. Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution.
  12. Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health related field or Diploma from a school of nursing.
  • 2 plus years of work experience in project management in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 2 plus years of experience with project management tools and /or software packages.
  • Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Project Management Certification.
