Arena Investors, LP is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors ("Quaestor"), is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back-office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, through the addition of an Associate or Senior Associate level individual. In this role, the successful candidate will work under the direction of head of FP&A based in New York. FP&A's primary responsibilities include designing and producing impactful analyses that supplement the firms financial reporting to leadership, and investors; developing, tracking and reporting meaningful KPIs that can be used to manage business growth and profitability; and projecting the impact of proposed strategies and initiatives on firm performance. The FP&A Associate will work across Arena teams to understand how to best leverage available data. Ideal candidates will be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and be able to work effectively with all internal groups.

Responsibilities: • Support the Strategy and FP&A team in planning and managing critical projects to deliver new capabilities to the firm (both with and without enabling technology), open new firm offices, and establish new operating businesses under Arena guidelines and protocols.• For each project: develop and maintain a project plan; specify required resources by project phase and deployment; maintain an issue log and drive issues to resolution; develop and maintain a risk management plan, provide regular project status reporting; conduct regular project status meetings. • Reports to SVP Strategy and FP&A.• Significant interface with all Front Office, Mid-Office and Back Office team leads as will as members of individual project teams.

Requirements

The individual will have demonstrated an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with an ability to think broadly about the business, incorporating continual improvement of processes and procedures with a goal of excellence while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a quantitative area (e.g., finance, economics, accounting).• 3-6 years work experience, at least 2 years of project management experience and completion of formal project management course work. PM Certification a plus.• A consultative approach to problem solving; formal background with a consulting firm a plus. Experience within the Financial Services sector also a plus.• Superior verbal and communication skills; able to distil raw data into salient facts• Superior Excel based financial modeling skills, including advanced spreadsheet development, and charting.• Strong attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with remote workforce and global locations.• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to work collaboratively across the organization.• The highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards.
