Job description:

1. Review and understand software requirements and design specifications.

2. Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on the requirements and design specifications.

3. Identify, analyze, and document any defects, inconsistencies, or discrepancies in the software.

4. Work closely with Software Validation Testers, Developers, Business Subject Matter Experts, and Technical Subject Matter Experts to communicate findings and assist in resolving issues.

5. Use a variety of testing tools and methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage and thorough validation of software.

6. Report validation results and progress to the Validation Manager and Project Managers.

7. Perform regression testing after defects are resolved.

8. Maintain test documentation to ensure reproducibility and compliance with standards.

9. Stay current with industry best practices and trends in software validation testing.

10. Drive efficiency of the Software Validation Testing Team.

Required Skills:

1. Strong background in FDA, cGMP, and Pharmaceutical industry.

2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3. 1+ years of experience with LabVantage LIMS software.

4. 2+ years of experience in software validation testing.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language in Labvantage

7. Familiarity with software development and testing methodologies, including agile development and continuous integration/continuous delivery.

8. Experience with test automation tools such as Application Lifecycle Management.

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $ 100K-145k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
