Project Manager, Advanced Operations - NPD

What You Will Do:
As a Project Manager, Advanced Operations you will assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project's objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Additional Responsibilities:
- The individual will be responsible for project & stakeholder management, people management (where applicable) and the technical assessment of all assigned projects.
- Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project's objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Lead Product Transfer Projects and initiatives while managing project spend on capital & expense budgets
- Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule. Ownership for managing and reporting project progress.
- Work closely with various functional partners Product Development, Advanced, Operations, Quality etc. to drive successful project implementation.
- Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources, including temporary contract SMEs as required
- Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaise with broader AO team on common issues and resolutions
- Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while using project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products per cost and time commit.
- Provide overall project direction as related to schedule, cost, performance, and resources.
- Will be responsible for team dynamics and making sure the team optimally organized
- Will develop strong relationships with team members
- Will develop, monitor, and control project plans including:
- Scope
- Schedule / GANTT chart / Burndowns / Task List
- Business Case / Capital Equipment Request
- Risk / Resources / Budget
- Will help develop functional specifications that fully define project and product.
- Cost
- Performance criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 4+ years of Project Management experience and leading teams within projects
- Experience in a regulated industry
Preferred Skills Needed:
- PMP Certification, experience in Agile or MS Project, project management tools
- Experience managing multi-year New Product Development projects
- High level of PC Skills required. (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Results and action orientation - ability to get work done in a timely fashion and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including executive
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.
- Will have demonstrated an ability to define project risk and to effectively manage project risks.
- Experience working with M&A activities such as due diligence, integration, and remediation.
