A Brief Overview

Researches, develops, and produces financial and management reports, variance analysis, market and strategic business analyses, and related projects in support of business development and strategic planning. Analyzes market potential and economics underlying new program proposals. Evaluates data, analyzes performance of existing programs, and develops business plan projections for proposed programs. Develops methodologies for tracking and reporting future actual performance of new programs against plan.

What you will do
  • Maintains ongoing status report outlining key milestones, next steps, risks, team member roles, and responsibilities for all major projects (20-30) within Stanford Blood Center - maintain detailed level status reports.
  • Leads work plan development for new, strategic initiatives within SBC, maintains an up-to-date status of all Market Development projects.
  • Interacts frequently with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate areas of risk and inform them of the progress of each project.
  • Coordinates with department team members to develop regular quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports of performance and plans and oversees the production and distribution of these reports.
  • Develops and maintains databases on project success indicators to track and support program planning and assessment process.
  • Develops detailed, multi-year business plan information for proposed programs, including goals, specific actions, timelines, metrics, and measures for on-going tracking.
  • Extracts relevant data elements from various systems and other sources for business planning and analysis.
  • Comply with governmental regulations and Stanford Health Care and Blood Center policies regarding health and safety. Observe and support good health and safety practices.
  • Strictly observe privacy and security related policies, procedures and practices to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of medical and other sensitive information pertaining to donors, patients, research subjects, and employees. Act as a responsible information steward and treats information as sensitive and confidential in accordance with federal and state laws and with professional ethics, accreditation standards and legal requirements. Do not disclose protected health information inappropriately.
  • May be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or life science-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university Required

Experience Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible and directly-related work experience Required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to conduct analysis and formulate conclusions
  • Ability to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to solve technical and non-technical problems
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team player and leader
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as capital budgeting, discounted cash flow, financial statement analysis, and financial forecasting
  • Knowledge of decision support systems, database, and other software tools

Licenses and Certifications
  • PMP - Project Mgmt Professional preferred .

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $51.11 - $67.71 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
