Project Manager - Connectivity
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and coordinate installation of new and/or upgrades of voice/data services.
- Interface with customers to ensure proper configuration during new/upgrade service installations and turn-ups.
- Interface with multiple internal departments, escalation when necessary to ensure project remains on time and within budget.
- Ensure customer data is populated in necessary systems.
- Participate in internal process improvement discussions.
- Point of sale billing.
- Project reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Two or four year college degree in business or technical field, or related work experience.
- Minimum two years experience in telecommunications, IT or related fields.
Preferred
- CLEC operations experience.
- Project management experience.
- Understanding of the OSI model a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees, superiors and business contacts in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision and contribute to a team environment.
- Highly organized to handle large number of simultaneous activities in a very fast paced environment, yet flexible to respond quickly to critical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions using the information at hand.
- Strong trouble resolution and problem solving skills.
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE:
- Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer applications including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook.
- Must have and maintain valid Driver's license
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional travel by vehicle.
- Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of a computer screen, required.
- Primarily indoor work in office environment.
- No unusual physical requirements.
