Project Manager, Customer Engagement Team
Job Description
FiberRise is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Customer Engagement Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong working background in project management and FTTH project implementation. The ideal candidate is a customer-centric individual with a strong business acumen with the ability and desire to build and maintain strong relationships. The Engagement Team PM will focus on managing the various aspects of customers’ projects from initial kickoff to a final soft handover to the FiberRise Operations team.
 Primary Duties & Responsibilities- Serves as champion for the customer and develops people and processes in a manner that enables FiberRise to deliver a premier customer experience.
- Collaborates with various internal FiberRise departments to ensure projects are properly setup before the transition to the operations team.
- May assist customers with messaging and presentations during the initial customer project internal approval processes e.g. board presentations etc.
- Collaborates with customer and FiberRise Services Management team to obtain closure on various contracts e.g. Statement of Work, Professional Services Agreement etc.
- Heavily involved in any RFP activities required by the customer including; RFP development, tracking, bid process and bid closure etc.
- Coordinate Detailed Design engineering workshops with FiberRise and customer to determine schedule and design/construction standards.
- Coordinates funding discussions with FiberRise Funding department and customer to address funding opportunities and their potential impact on project implementation.
- Collaborates and coordinates introductory customer meetings with FiberRise’s recommended 3Rd party preferred partners for various service offerings and tools, e.g. voice providers, material providers, construction vendors, demand generation companies, etc.
- Ensures customer parameters are defined and built in the FiberRise project management tracking software.
- Coordinates with other peer Engagement team members of different disciplines to make certain all tasks are moving forward toward implementation.
- Assists customers with various business processes, setups, and documentation needed to operate a broadband service offering.
- Engages business stakeholders to identify and incorporate business-owned project tasks needed to ensure projects are meeting upon the agreed timeline
- Builds effective client relationships and leverages them during times of escalation or unforeseen project problems.
- Supports existing projects and performs other project management duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, with increasing responsibility in the telecommunications industry
- A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience; 15+ years of experience preferred
- Successful track record in managing a FTTH/FTTP telecommunications projects
- Knowledge of OSP engineering and functions
- Must be able to travel Monday – Thursday; up to 25% of the time throughout the Southeastern states
- Must possess a valid driver’s license

Desired Qualifications- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Successful track record in managing budgets and forecasts
- Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills along with a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure and/or with deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and QuickBase
