Project Manager: Customer Outreach (Data Science)

GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it is doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. GA-CCRi is looking for a Project Manager for Data Science to join our computer vision program. This program is focused on the automated detection of objects in satellite imagery and the underlying infrastructure that supports imagery ingest, AI/ML processing, and detection export across multiple data sources and multiple modalities of satellite imagery. This team works to develop exquisite computer vision models for satellite imagery, working hand-in-hand with analysts to understand their specific requirements. The team delivers these machine learning algorithms to our production system and continues engagement with the end-users to understand model performance, additional requirements, and the needs of the broader community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders, to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including resource allocation, task prioritization, and risk management.
• Effectively communicate project status, progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior management.
• Facilitate and drive the adoption of agile project management methodologies, ensuring efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth among team members.
• Lead and manage development projects related to computer vision algorithms, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision technologies and identify opportunities to leverage emerging tools and frameworks to enhance project outcomes.
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in data science, information systems, geospatial information science (GIS) or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in project management, ideally with a focus on computer vision or remote sensing projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving them towards project success.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive and self-driven attitude, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with satellite imaging products across multiple modalities.
• Understanding of intelligence product generation and analyst workflows
• Active TS-SCI (with CI Poly preferred)

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (Scrum Alliance)
• Experience with Agile Release Train management
• Strong knowledge of satellite remote sensing and/or computer vision concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
• Experience producing contract deliverables
• Experience working with the Intelligence Community and/or the DoD

Salary Range: $100,000 - $183,000
