AECOM is seeking a project manager to support geotechnical, civil infrastructure and mine tailings project as part of the Mining group in Murray, UT. The candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, financials and teams for a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects focused on mine tailings dams and mining clients both in the US and internationally. The candidate shall have a minimum of two years of experience in consulting project management with a strong background in civil consulting project management.
Job Description
- Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
- Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
- Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
- Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
- Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
- Manages more complex clients and projects.
- Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
- Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
- Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.
- Develop project proposals and work with business leader on overall strategy to grow Mining practice
- May be responsible for Project teams that include 4 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations and including subcontractor(s)
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project, focusing on the unique or controversial problems
- Regularly develop and evaluate project plans
- Work with subcontractors including assistance in working with procurement team
- Work with clients to provide long-term solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 4 years of related industry experience in dams and mine tailings.
- PE preferred
- Experience managing client portfolios with multiple projects.
- Experience managing design staff and subcontractors.
- Heavy civil concrete construction design experience.
- Relocation is not available for this position
- Employment sponsorship may be available for this position.
- Occasional site travel required.
