Job Description

GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for overseeing one or more project(s) and serves as the liaison between project management, senior management and customer representatives on matters of significance.

Oversees the status of the project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget so business objectives are attained.

Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Typically accomplishes tasks through subordinate staff, management, and/or across teams.

Oversees the development of mechanisms to monitor project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.

Responsible for decisions which have a serious impact on the overall success of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of one or more project(s) and serves as the liaison between project management, senior management, and customer representatives regarding operational issues, scheduling requirements and/or budgeting issues .
  • Continually reviews status of the project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Typically accomplishes tasks through subordinate staff, management, and/or across teams.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.
  • Responsible for decisions that have an extended impact on outcomes, are long-lasting, and may influence the future course of the organization.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Create project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality and specification goals are attained.
  • Collaborate with management and project team(s) in the assignment and assessment of project goals to meet larger and more strategic business objectives.
  • Oversee and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.
  • Manage the coordination of departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.
  • Manage work of project management staff, providing technical support and direction when necessary.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures that impact project(s).
  • Interpret company-wide policies and procedures as they relate to the project(s).
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation.
  • May make presentations to internal and external audiences as needed regarding project status.
  • Collaborate with management and project team to expand services and potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
  • Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals, and business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to employees working on assigned project.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and objectives to team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Interpret and administer policies and procedures that impact project(s).
  • Participate in, lead segments of or provide overall management for the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and thirteen or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least seven of those years in project management.

May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.

Must possess:

  • the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects;
  • the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine issues of diverse scope and nature;
  • strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and,
  • the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Have an extremely strong visual portfolio showcasing a mature sense of layout design, hierarchy, and modern design principles
  • Can help keep design work on task and in scope as it relates to project timelines, roadmaps, and delivery deadlines
  • Have experience coordinating teams and are comfortable managing workstreams through tasking software (i.e., JIRA, Asana, kanban, scrum)
  • Can translate ideas and high-level requirements into functional design prototypes using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Moqups, Axure, or similar design tools
  • Have experience with art direction and mentoring junior designers through design critiques
  • Expert with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Enjoy pairing typography and color palettes with information architecture
  • Have experience designing and iterating on mockups, translating these to style guidelines, and collaborating with development teams on the final product
  • Have excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Have a strong visual design sense and appreciation for developing a stellar user experience
  • Enjoy researching and testing the latest and greatest technologies
  • Have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Learn quickly and want to share knowledge
  • Enjoy working in an exciting, dynamic environment with a great team of brilliant and supportive co-workers
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 7-8 years of related professional experience
  • U.S. citizenship required
Bonus points if you also:
  • Have experience developing user personas, use cases and workflows, and/or conducting surveys and user research
  • Have experience building and scaling design systems
  • Have product design/management experience
  • Have experience with animations, transition design, and illustration
  • Have experience with frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Have experience with CSS pre-processors (Stylus, LESS, SASS, etc)
  • Have obtained a certification in project management
  • Have worked in an agile software development environment
  • Are interested in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, and/or analytics
  • A TS/SCI Security Clearance
