Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. This position will be performed out of our Project Office location, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working cafe, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.
Phoenix is the capital of the Grand Canyon State and enjoys mostly bright skies throughout the year. It is the perfect place if you enjoy the outdoors, love sports, concerts and other big city amenities or technology. There are great neighborhoods around Phoenix, with easy access to a major city, nature, the arts and many more amenities.
Description
Manage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management activities on or near company properties. Project Manager will generally be responsible for residential & commercial construction projects in the $10-$50M range.
- Responsible for strategic planning and executing safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service tasks of major capital projects for the company
- Responsible for the scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality associated with company projects
- Monitor work performance and institute cost controls for projects
- Review and/or develop scopes of work for potential projects within the company
- Support Senior Project Managers in projects with a value in excess of $50M
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering related field, and eight (8) years of related experience including familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction, OR
- High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years of related experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field including familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction.
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes for both residential and commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost estimating, budget management, and quality control in construction processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, set clear project objectives, and monitor progress throughout all project phases.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools such as Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate, mentor, and guide project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate clear and concise communication with team members, clients, vendors, and management.
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions promptly.
- Capable of resolving conflicts and mitigating project risks while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting for construction projects.
- Ability to create accurate project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements for both residential and commercial construction.
- Experience liaising with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure projects adhere to all necessary legal and environmental standards.
- Proven ability to contribute to the strategic planning process for new construction projects, including site selection, feasibility analysis, and project scope definition.
- Experience in assessing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Proficient in using construction-related software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other design and drafting tools as well as Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts and applications.
- Capacity to handle unexpected challenges, adapt to changes, and find innovative solutions to ensure project success.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols, and promoting a culture of safety among project teams.
- Understanding of project profitability, contract negotiations, and client relationship management to contribute to business growth.
- Strong business ethics
- Ability to manage construction projects from inception to completion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in an Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field
- Experience in scoping and estimating project costs Experience in mining/mineral/residential construction industry

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $125,000-$175,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
