Job Summary

Within the Harley-Davidson Museum team responsible for supporting all business units (marketing, events, retail, restaurants, museum operations, curatorial/exhibits and programs) by developing event execution plans with a primary focus on increasing Museum attendance. Help create a cohesive experience representative of the Harley-Davidson brand. Collaborate with all stakeholders to identify and present current messaging, offers and value opportunities. Lead the H-D Museum Riding Experiences Program including Saturday Demos, JumpStart, and new initiatives. Lead the execution of both on campus and off campus marketing sponsored events through build out of entertainment, interactive displays, lead generation activities and call to action messaging. Track all metrics, provide detailed recap / P&L reports while making sure all events are cost-effective and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Motorcycle Riding Experiences program and manage a team of seasonal employees
  • Utilize research, analytics, and consumer trends to identify recommended activations
  • Work with Marketing Lead to identify off campus events to sponsor and on campus activities to host
  • Plan, develop and execute events from start to finish according to specific objectives
  • Prepare and manage event execution budgets
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for seamless execution
  • Take on the role of Brand Ambassador and lead promotional activities
  • Secure staffing support through all business channels (volunteers and paid staff)
  • Coordinate community partnerships for added enhancements
  • Draft Event Briefs for cross-functional team awareness and detailed Recap Reports for metrics review
  • Manage existing on campus Consumer Events to include yet not limited to Bike Nights, Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally, Armed Forces Day, and support the Events Team with Homecoming
  • Develop and manage event budgets with opportunities to offset event costs with revenue to achieve breakeven or better, create event P&L's
  • Propose NEW on campus event opportunities that activate campus at break even or better (during non-peak dates/times)
  • Develop and support sponsor activations and overall partnerships

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in experiential event marketing
  • Motorcycle endorsement with knowledge of motorcycle products and industry
  • Proven business acumen and demonstrated ability to conduct, manage and deliver insights supporting overarching corporate strategies
  • Strong organizational and time management/prioritization skills
  • Excellent interaction, presentation, and communication skills in dealing with a diverse network and influencing individuals
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels and build collaborative, productive relationships with internal business partners and external vendors
  • A true team spirit who thrives on working as a part of an enthusiastic and energetic team, inspiring others, demonstrating collaborative approaches to achieving results, encouraging the inputs and ideas of others and understands the importance of active listening

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
