Job Description:
Description: The Project Manager, GME is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects related to the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education's (ACGME) Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) program. The Project Manager, GME works collaboratively with multiple disciplines and providers to develop innovative solutions in the six CLER Pathways (Patient Safety, Health Care Quality and Health Care Disparities, Teaming, Supervision, Well-being, and Professionalism) while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Typical Duties:
- Oversees accreditation maintenance from the ACGME related to the CLER program in collaboration with Academic Affairs leadership.
- Facilitates the development of short and long-term projects to improve GME alignment within the six CLER Pathways to Excellence.
- Partners with interprofessional stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Demonstrates ownership and accountability for project planning and implementation.
- Communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders, acts as a mediator and motivates project team members on a proactive basis to foster the cohesive functioning of the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintains timely, effective communications with the department leadership regarding all events or proposed changes that could impact regulatory issues or policies or procedures.
- Tracks and reports project milestones and provides timely status reports.
- Interacts effectively with others within the Hospital District, other outside agencies, and the community.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical field from an accredited University.
- 5 plus years nursing practice in an academic medical center.
