Project Manager I (HEDIS)

Position Purpose: Coordinate and monitor quality improvement and organizational projects from inception to closure including Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and associated quality improvement initiatives.

• Provide functional and technical knowledge for HEDIS across all plans• Conduct monthly HEDIS reporting operations and analysis• Assist plans with oversight of HEDIS vendors• Ensure appropriate HEDIS data validation and resolution of data issues identified• Monitor project deliverables to ensure adherence to standards including design documents, test plans and operations documentation and facilitate timely submission of deliverables• Support the project life cycle including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, manage resources and facilitate project execution, deployment and closure• Coordinate data pulls for identified QI projects and identify sources, methodology and timeliness for which data is needed• Maintain detailed project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists and risk management plans

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience. 1+ years of project management, quality improvement, or related managed care experience. Experience with Excel and Access reporting functions. Experience coordinating project plans and knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA specifications preferred. Knowledge of HEDIS programming software preferred.
