Job Title:                       Project Manager, Information Systems

Department:                  Finance

Reports to:                    SVP, Strategic Information Systems

Reporting Location:     Madison, WI (preferred), Boulder, CO, or Seattle, WA

Pay Range:                    $100,000-$120,000


The Position 

OneEnergy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, initiate, and manage Information Systems projects that align with the company’s long-term vision and strategic roadmap.  These projects focus on defining and implementing tools and software to collect, process, store, and distribute data that is crucial to decision-making.  This individual will help drive efficiency across OneEnergy’s Development, Engineering, Finance, and Delivery teams to streamline and accelerate the deployment of new clean energy projects across the country.


Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with internal customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise plans for assigned projects including project scope, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Take ownership and actively manage projects through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) following project management best practices.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate status of projects to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Work with stakeholders to manage project priorities, resources, and objectives.
  • Proactively escalate any project issues or challenges that pose risk to the scope, schedule or budget.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure smooth project implementation and handoff.
  • Contribute to the implementation of project management frameworks and best practices within the Strategic Information Systems team.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related background.
  • 4+ years hands-on IT or Systems related project management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) models and best practices.
  • Experience with process mapping and requirements gathering.
  • Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Professional Project Management certification(s) a plus.
  • A curious and proactive perspective for solving problems and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related soft
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.
  • Ability to contribute to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a “roll up your sleeves and let’s get the job done right” type attitude.
  • Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
