The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes while adhering to a project management methodology to deliver internal IT and Operational projects on time and within budget. This role is key to executing the overall Operational and IT Roadmap to drive standardization, automation, and integration throughout the corporation. This position will lead project teams made up of resources from departments across the company and external vendors. The position will also lead selections for internal software decisions and perform ROI analysis to support decisions. The position will be working closely with Finance, Human Capital, the Solutions Group leadership, and Sales leadership at all levels and functions of the company. This role will require the candidate to provide data and analysis on key issues and offer recommendations to improve processes across all aspects of internal operations and corporate IT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously that are either unique or a portion of a larger project. Provide direct management of major IT projects.
  • Effectively manage cross-functional and matrixed teams. Serve as coordinator for all project team activities. Provide team with project goals, scope, task assignment and timelines. Manage project budget and financials.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management initiatives from proposal, inception and cost estimation stages through delivery. Coordinate all project related activities following standard project and software development methodologies.
  • Acts as main point of contact for project-related communication and disseminates necessary information to the project team.
  • Demonstration of strategic thinking and understanding of entire project scope and able to align appropriate resources to fill the requirement.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of resources on a project, both internal and external, and tactfully achieves results that move the project forward.
  • Ability to manage expectations and deliverableswith internal/external stakeholders.
  • Review deliverables from project team (i.e. documentation sets - functional, technical specs, design documents, process flows, test plans, use cases, etc.). Ensure team is running projects according to project plans set forth and enVista's standards.
  • For approved projects, complete Project Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, Project Budgets, Timelines, control management plans and execute them and other artifacts as defined by the implementation methodology. Procure all necessary resources and applications through an RFP and procurement management process when required.
  • Research, create and present Project Proposals to the business and IT teams, including identifying viable alternatives for solving the problem, calculating ROI statistics and gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Support communications and presentations to internal and external parties.


Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Information Technology, Informatics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5-7 in an Operational/Analysis IT role
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an IT project management role
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with imperfect information to inform data-driven decision-making with the ability to perform the following:
    • Design Operational processes that meet business needs and leverage technology to drive efficiency
    • Drive standard operational processes and use of technology to sustain growth
    • Achieve effective integration of internal systems to meeting business growth and objectives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
  • Requires excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Preferred candidates will be based in a hybrid capacity in our Carmel office but remote candidates will also be considered (for remote candidates travel to Indianapolis would be required approximately 4-6 times per year)
