Kalypso is seeking exceptional candidates who are looking for an exciting career as a PROJECT MANAGER.
Responsible for commercial success of assigned projects that deliver Pavilion8 and PlantPAx MPC applications to customers. This includes scope management, customer management, ensuring that projects are executed within budget and schedule requirements and that completed applications are completed in accordance with the ISPB process strategy and delivery best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform project management tasks in a manner consistent with Rockwell Automation Information Software and Process Business procedures ("ISPB procedures") and applicable corporate and government regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary project interface between customer team, the ISPB project team and other Rockwell groups including sales, product management, etc. Manage the working relationships within the extended project team such that a professional, win-win environment is maintained.
- Coordinate resolution of complex project issues that arise that may impact scope, cost or schedule.
- Perform change management, risk management, problem tracking, contingency planning and communication activities in coordination with sales on assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Lead team formation and manage the integration of assigned resources into functional working teams. Provide feedback on team member competencies and availability. Coach and help develop assigned team members in required skills. Thoughtfully support the performance and development reviews (PADRs) of assigned project resources in a timely manner.
- May be responsible for subcontract and management of external resources to facilitate project completion.
- Ensure project work packages are sufficiently identified and delegated among the assigned application engineering and systems integration staff.
- Regularly update project status to communicate full and accurate cost and staffing requirements. Coordinate with finance team to ensure proper revenue recognition from project activities.
- Perform project closure activities on assigned projects in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Undertake steps required to obtain or maintain project management professional (PMP) certification.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Willing and able to travel and work 5 to 25% of the time at customer sites, including industrial plants that may require specific safety and security background check prerequisites.
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management, program management, risk management and/or agile certifications a plus.
- Must have strong personal computer and common office application skills.
- Five years of documented direct project management experience.
- Five years of experience with and working knowledge of industrial control systems, systems integration, and process instrumentation.
- Experience as a consultant/project manager for external customers including management of deliverable acceptance, change management and ensuring payment for services rendered a plus.
- Experience in process industries such as refining, chemicals, cement, mining and/or consumer products a plus.
- Experience programming control systems and/or instrumentation and electrical design a plus.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation products or project management systems a plus.
- Experience in the delivery of model-predictive control applications a plus.
- Further education in engineering or business administration a plus.
- Languages other than English a plus.
