Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented project manager to join our team. This individual will work closely with designers, copywriters, marketing coordinators, and the manager of Marketing Services to ensure that all work coming into the Marketing department is properly slotted into the projects' timelines. The responsibilities of the project manager within the Marketing department include planning of marketing projects, delegating tasks to project team members, supervising those employees, and ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget. To be successful as a project manager, the individual should have excellent time and project management, analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills, as well as leadership and strategic planning skills. This individual will also be responsible for managing at least three direct reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating short- and long-term plans for all projects, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines while managing and supervising marketing projects from beginning to end
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Collaborating closely with clients to determine project scope and requirements, and communicating with clients to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Coordinating all project activities and stages with the marketing team to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and according to schedule and strategy. Tasks include debriefs, status check-ins, marketing team and stakeholder reviews, etc.
  • Communicating actions and next steps clearly via timelines, project team updates, and status reports
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining project documentation, including status reports, project schedules, budgets, meeting summaries and review details
  • Maintaining vendor/partner relationships pertaining to the project at hand as needed
  • Helping manage and review marketing coordinator creative briefs to present to the team
  • Working with the VP of Marketing to determine media campaign deliverables and options
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products and its client base
  • Developing meeting agendas, editorial calendars, and project timelines for ongoing brand initiatives/campaigns
  • Partnering with internal creatives on asset development and delivery, providing insight into design optimizations that can improve performance
  • Support internal organization of files, meetings and resources, and help establish best practices inside the organization
Supervisory Responsibilities

Team-based performance and staff management and development experience is required.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and a minimum of seven years of proven marketing or advertising operations experience is required.
  • Outstanding project management is required.
  • Proven experience with offline, online, event, and social media marketing, and proficiency in Acrobat, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office software is required. Understanding of Trello or similar project management software is a plus.
Language & Communication Skills

  • Outstanding client service, organizational, project management, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to lead by example in these areas is essential.
  • Must remain positive, supportive, and focused, while expertly managing multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of multiple marketing perspectives: B2B, B2C, and B2E (employee).
