Job Description
Montefiore's IT Department offers an exciting, fast-paced environment in which dedication and innovation are rewarded and where individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients.
We are seeking an IT Project Manager. In this role, you may have the opportunity to work on business/financial systems, infrastructure, clinical systems, or transformation projects. This is a matrix Project Management environment: this position has no direct reports.
While this team works remotely some of the time, you must be prepared to work in our office as required. Montefiore requires employees to reside in NY, NJ, CT, or PA, and to be vaccinated including for COVID and flu.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop the project work plan, work breakdown structure, and schedule.
- Manage assigned projects consistent with stakeholder objectives and strategic plans.
- Manage the activities of cross-functional project teams and ensure the adherence to the project plan.
- Deploy best practices approach defined by the PMO and the Project Delivery Services team.
- Work to control change, adjust the budget, timeline, and project scope to accommodate approved changes.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
- Collaborate with Resource Allocation Manager to ensure associates with required skills are available to support the implementation of new systems/solutions.
- Produce timely, detailed summaries and high-level reports including project schedule, actual vs. budget, and project progress reports.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Regional Directors and Product leadership to align projects with stakeholders' strategic objectives
Requirements include:
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and their budgets
- Experience creating and managing project plans using a PPM tool such as MS Project or Clarity
- Experience managing projects in a heavily regulated, compliance-driven environment
- Experience managing projects in a purely matrix setting with no direct reports
- Experience managing software or infrastructure implementation or integration projects
- PMP or knowledge of SDLC or structured methodology
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
- Refined presentation skills and experience participating in/presenting at meetings with executive leadership
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Montefiore requires employees to reside in NY, NJ, CT, or PA. Relocation is not paid by Montefiore. This position is not fully remote. Montefiore requires employees to be vaccinated, including for COVID.
