Project Manager (PA based)

Job Overview:

This is a client-facing position in the Operational Excellence team at our client Merck US (Global Clinical Supplies). The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that project deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations. In addition, this role must manage the project's risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies related to deliverables. The Project Manager will proactively collaborate with stakeholders to analyze needs and functional requirements as well as coordinate with other PMs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop thorough Project Plan based on scope and budget while tracking actual performance.
• Report out updates to key stakeholders on regular cadence.
• Communicate and partner with all constituents to be the project advocate.
• Build agenda, issue minutes, and ensure chair meetings.
• Adherence to regulatory, global and site policies and procedures governing operations activities are critical.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree preferred
• Management, Engineering, or Business background
• Thorough working knowledge of MS Teams and MS Project
• 5 years of PM work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
• Detail oriented with proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Team player with strong collaboration and influencing skills.
• Leadership experience in the creation and implementation of a project plan/roadmap.
• Experience identifying and mitigating risks for minimal impact to projects.
• Experience with international team building.
• Excellent decision making, communication, and escalation skills
• Proven flexibility
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to create slide decks and visualizations for executive communications (nice to have)
• Experience in Clinical, Supply Chain, or ERP Systems Implementations

*This is a hybrid role and the ideal candidate will be commutable to our West Point, PA site (preferred) or Rahway, NJ and expected to travel 1-2 days per week.
