Project Manager – Ports and Marine

Matrix New World is currently seeking a Project Manager – Ports and Marine for the New York/New Jersey metro area. Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for marine structure projects and other port-related projects of varying complexity.
• Develops project work plans and ensures their execution through oversight and management of the project team.
• Engages in the development of a design through analysis, design, drawings, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Prepares and revises documentation through various project phases, including site plans, sections, diagrams, and details.
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members, external consultants, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Serves as a primary point of contact with project owners/clients.
• Participates in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating.
• Leads the preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documents.
• Participates in constructability reviews.
• Actively engages with internal and external clients for business development.
• Coordinates work with other disciplines.
• Assists in preparing proposals, design work cost estimates, and project schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/marine engineering or related field
• 5 -10 years of experience in civil/structural/marine engineering
• Capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
