Project Manager (Product Development Finance)

*This position is onsite at our New Rochelle, NY office 3x a week*

The Project Manager (PM) will join the Finance team and partner with various departments to support product lifecycle, from concepting to market placement. The PM will need to not only develop and structure key processes, but also ensure adherence to these processes through completion of key milestones. The ideal candidate has great communication and time management skills, can identify and help resolve process bottlenecks and has the ability to drive complex initiatives forward. We are looking for a multi-tasker who can partner with many teams across the organization, provide critical oversight and ensure transparency to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and manage a detailed Product Schedule, continually evaluating prioritization
• Organize and lead cross-functional meetings, distribute recaps, and follow up on action items
• Coordinate and confirm completion of key steps across the organization
• Facilitate budget development process, scoping out resource requirements and limitations
• Communicate next steps and set deadlines for various stakeholders, promoting on-time completion of deliverables and escalating issues to management
• Establish real-time dashboards to provide visibility of necessary information across departments
• Identify and manage inter-dependencies that may not be known at the project level, and lead efforts to develop approaches for managing such issues
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor and communicate progress with Management using KPIs, making process adjustments as needed
• Measure, analyze and report on project performance to identify areas for improvement

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of project management and related experience
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices, including Smartsheet
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle in the publishing industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to drive progress according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline, with ability to read between the lines, connect the dots, and identify potential risks

• Excellent communication skills
