Reporting into the Manager, Health Plan Project Delivery Services, the Project Manager works across Availity including leadership to organize the resources needed to accomplish project tasks, typically from initiation to delivery. The Project Manager leads the implementations, coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and removes barriers to ensure projects reach completion both on time and within budget. Requires people and resource management through others; part of cross-functional team required to complete the project.

To be qualified for this position you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Program or Project Management within the healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline or 3 years of Project Management experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience managing small-medium projects
  • Expert knowledge of Project Management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; proven experience working as both a leader and member of a team
  • Experience with any Project Management tools to maintain project plans

What you will be doing:

  • Working with all levels of Availity management, Program Management, Account Management, Technology and Sales to organize the resources needed to accomplish project tasks. This includes leading client-based projects and managing cross-functional teams for delivery on client deliverables, scope, and risks.
  • Assisting with the analysis of project and operational data to align the outcome of projects with Availity strategic, product and business goals.
  • Determining the optimal mix of resources and sequencing of tasks within their project to best achieve alignment within a larger Program initiative along with the company's overall goals while monitoring costs and client expectations.
  • Working with clients in an effort to meet and exceed expectations
  • The Project Manager must have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to relate to customers at the project level and leadership level.
  • Performing other duties, projects, or activities as specified by their management.
