The Role

Kasa is seeking a travel-loving, obsessed with operational excellence, operations guru to support our Launch Operations and Project Management Team.

This role will report to Kasa's Associate Director of Project Management and work closely with teams across the company, including Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and Legal/Regulatory. This is a remote-based role. Your work will help to open massive new opportunities for Kasa as it unleashes the potential of livable space, and we hope you're excited to make a big difference!

About the Team

This role is a member of Kasa's Launch Ops & Supply Chain Team. Kasa manages the full end-to-end delivery of our "rarely seen but always felt" tech-enabled hospitality to guests in dozens of cities across the US, and manages properties with as few as five or as many as one hundred Kasa units.  

As Kasa’s Project Manager, you will also work cross-functionally across Kasa, especially with partners in Real Estate, Finance, Portfolio Operations, and Marketing, to ensure that our launch  efforts are coordinated with Kasa's broader growth and revenue performance objectives.

Day in the life of a Kasa Project Manager

Like any Operations role, you should expect to have a number of competing priorities in a given day or week. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of autonomy, creativity, and cost-effectiveness.  

Success in this role will primarily be measured by the operational launch and financial success of launching properties and projects across our portfolio,  and the development of strong working relationships with the various support departments that assist every launch.  By "owning" all aspects of the launch, you are essentially the quarterback and playmaker for every step and process of a successful launch.  

 Here is a list of key areas of responsibilities:

  • Set project timeline
  • Monitor project deliverables
  • Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
  • Direct and Interact with property partners
  • Project accounting and budgeting.  
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and generate cost estimates
  • Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the launch process
  • Plan and review each launch, including quality control procedures, safety and execution.
  • Coordinate, direct, monitor, directs the activities of any subcontractors or suppliers
  • This role  requires travel away from home upwards of 20% of the time.
Experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in project management 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Progressive project management experience in launching new properties or projects.  
  • Working with multi-functional teams ideally in a hospitality, real estate, or entrepreneurial businesses
  • Experience overseeing the launch of physical properties or facilities, preferably at a company with a rapid growth history
  • You are goal-driven and obsessed with completing tasks.   
  • You enjoy environments where the only constant is constant change - you are dynamic, optimistic, and adept at leading teams through rapidly evolving business environments
  • You are comfortable with budgeting and reconciliation 
  • You are data-driven, with metrics on your mind, and have the ability to interpret and analyze financial and non-financial data
  • You have a high level of independence and can make thoughtful decisions, even in fast-paced and ambiguous operating environments
  • You are obsessive about clear documentation of learnings, and always approach a problem with the mindset of how you could scale the solution to 100x the size
  • You communicate with clarity and empathy and can deliver impactful presentations to both senior business leaders as owners
  • You have excellent time management skills and enjoy juggling multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time
  • You can handle stressful situations with a calm and positive demeanor
  • This role requires regular access to a reliable vehicle to use for work, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record with proof of insurance
