For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $103,459.20 to $142,771.20 annually with a target hiring range of $103,459.20 to $118,976.00.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager Sr. will work with assigned business partners within their region/geography to identify and implement medium to large sized projects that support achievement of key business priorities. Projects are business oriented in nature often with data, process and/or system configuration changes, focused on end-to-end (E2E) process optimization. Works with limited guidance, responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems. Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology. Responsible for leading and facilitating enterprise-wide projects. Directs implementation of multi-departmental, medium to large scale projects. Manages project through Project Management Lifecycle. Leads project meetings with business partners; Identifies, documents and prioritizes scope changes and facilitates approval process. Sets and manages expectations with resource managers and team members. Manages operational and tactical aspects of the project. Creates an effective team environment, build strong relationships, solving problems and issues in a matrix environment and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization. Develops work plan structure and project schedule to meet delivery timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Business and IT Stakeholders to understand the parameters (Scope, Schedule, and Cost) of projects.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Tracks milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Serves as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
- Works with limited guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
- Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in project management and software development.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
- Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Tools Required:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Power Point, OneNote)
- Microsoft Teams
Eligibility Requirements:
- A minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Management role required
- A minimum 3 years of experience in the Health Insurance Industry (Payer) required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 1 year of hire
- Bachelor's Degree required
