Project Manager - Steel

Project Manager - Ornamental Steel Long Island City, NY Salary - $80,000 - $150,000 Key Responsibilities • Manage all phases of structural and miscellaneous steel projects (stairs, railings, platforms, catwalks, etc.) • Act as the primary point of contact between GCs, engineers, detailers, fabricators, and union field crews • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination • Interpret and review architectural/structural drawings and connection details • Coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders with internal teams • Drive on-time and on-budget delivery across multiple active jobs • Support fabrication and erection sequencing, with occasional jobsite visits to troubleshoot field issues • Ensure compliance with safety standards, NYC DOB requirements, and union rules Qualifications • 2+ years of experience managing structural or misc. steel projects (preferably in the NYC metro area) is preffred, but not a necessity • Strong knowledge of steel detailing, fabrication, and installation workflows • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and shop drawings • Familiar with NYC permitting and agency coordination • Proficient with construction management platforms including Procore and BuildingConnected Benefits • Medical • 401k • Federal holidays • Two weeks vacation • 5 miscellaneous PTO days The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is a part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
