JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs seeks an Project Manager, Technology Portfolio capable of supporting our technology roadmap as we continue to grow and expand as a company. This role manages technology projects and ensures strategic alignment with company goals.  This role reports directly to the Manager, IT Portfolio Management, based out of our headquarters in Chicago, IL, with a Work from Home primary option as desired.  

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Supports the IT Portfolio Manager to strategically execute IT goals to deliver Cresco Objectives at an enterprise level. 
  • Lead all aspects of Technology Projects as assigned. This includes overseeing a team of employee counterparts and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budget.
  • Work with the Business and IT project teams to manage/oversee the full range of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, close) for projects which focus on the business needs of a specific business line(s) or strategy.
  • Advise, Refine, and Create Business Requirements, and translates them into Functional and Technical requirements for scoping effort. 
  • Utilize, monitor, and continuously improve project management processes to ensure the achievement of planned results through technology projects.
  • Create and maintain required project documentation and artifacts. Examples include but are not limited to:
    • Managing Project Documents such as RAID logs, RACI, Communication, Testing and other project management tools.
    • Ensure completion of quality process requirements from other verticals (Security assessment, infrastructure assessment)
    • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
    • Facilitate and ensure readiness to secure Stakeholder approvals.
    • Ensure quality standards and project requirements are met through testing and remediating issues.
    • Closure and lessons learned.
  • Use communications and meetings to effectively communication project status to Project Sponsors and Executive Stakeholders.  
  • Understand, synthesize, and report project status to provide leadership with key project health details of overall project using Scope, Schedule, Quality and Budgeting metrics.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risk by conducting assessments to determine if the implementation plans meet stakeholder requirements and will achieve strategic objectives.
  • Participates in the IT project Intake evaluation process to present new projects’ business case objectives against organizational priorities, and criticality.
  • Be a steward of consistent Project delivery through adherence to established processes and documentation procedures. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, business, or a related field from an accredited university, institution, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven technical project management experience; 3+ years of IT Project Management experience preferred. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing business and technical environments. 
  • Practical project management experience using Trello, Confluence, SharePoint toolset and Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodology. 
  • Competent analytical skills and business acumen; analytical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities; detail-oriented, committed to a high level of accuracy; track record of managing multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and meeting facilitation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while working remotely. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally & effectively to both technical and business teams, across all levels of the organization, with demonstrated ability to interact credibly with executive management. 
  • Experience managing Agile software development projects and groups, and knowledge of key concepts and processes within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Agile and Waterfall methodologies as well as process and workflow management a plus. 
  • Experience with Digital Transformation and customer experience improvement initiatives a plus. 
  • Experience with Acquisition due diligence and integration
