Job Summary
The Project Manager will provide project support to the Actuarial Integration & Modernization team. This role will lead small to medium size projects in scope and impact. This role will work closely with the Sr. Portfolio Manager on project activities and general administration in the project office. This position requires interactions and collaboration with SVPs, project sponsors, stakeholders, and users, both technical and non-technical staff, as appropriate for the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute overall project management duties using industry standard project management principles and practices to support all project sponsors, users, stakeholders and the project team
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of small to medium size projects
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Report and escalate issues or concerns of the project to Sr. Portfolio Manager as needed
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings and distribute meeting notes
- Follow up on action items with project team members and stakeholders
- Maintain project budgets including updating financial forecasts, ensuring project actuals are accurate, processing invoices and reporting on financial variances.
- Maintain project schedule by entering and updating project tasks and milestones, following up with task owners on status and report on critical path.
- Will assist in identifying and documenting existing business processes across different departments or functions within the organization. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and observations to understand how work is currently performed and identifying pain points or areas for improvement.
- Will assist in creating process maps, flowcharts, or diagrams to visually represent the sequence of activities, decision points, and information flows within a process.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years’ experience in project management or related field
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile and SDLC
- Background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
- Problem solving aptitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-pace team environment and handle multiple projects and assignments under tight deadlines
- Organized and capable of providing leadership in a structured environment while requiring minimal day-to-day guidance
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including the ability to develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize based on changing needs and requirements
- Demonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in an environment that requires ability to prioritize
- Analytical and conceptual thinker; flexible approach; discretionary effort; organizational commitment; customer service orientation; innovation; and focus on teamwork
- Proficient in all MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Proficient in the use of PPM tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, WorkOtter or equivalent

- Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
