Project Manager/Software Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking aProject Manager/Software Engineerwith a strong background insoftware engineering,CRM development, andproject managementto lead the design and execution of a custom CRM platform. This role requires a balance oftechnical expertiseandbusiness acumen, as you will collaborate with executives, manage software engineers, and ensure the successful delivery of our CRM solution. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in software engineering, excels at managing cross-functional teams, and understands the operational needs of a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Team Management
β’ Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and set timelines.
β’ Oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring milestones are met and the project stays on budget and schedule.
β’ Act as the main point of contact between engineering and company leadership.
β’ Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
CRM Development & Software Engineering
β’ Oversee the integration of billing, sales/prospecting, and dispatching software into a single platform.
β’ Ensure the CRM system generates custom, automated reports and supports seamless data flow across multiple departments.
β’ Lead efforts in API development, ensuring connectivity between the CRM and external platforms.
Business Operations & Strategy
β’ Understand the operational challenges faced by technicians, sales teams, and managers, and translate those into CRM features.
β’ Design user-friendly solutions that streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
β’ Evaluate existing tools and recommend scalable, efficient alternatives to improve business processes.
β’ Ensure the CRM system meets evolving business needs by implementing ongoing updates and enhancements.
Data Management & Optimization
β’ Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility across all integrated systems.
β’ Recommend architectural improvements for data scalability and efficiency.
β’ Oversee the development of robust reporting tools that support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree inComputer Science,Software Engineering,Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ 5+ yearsof experience in software engineering and CRM development, with3+ yearsin project management roles.
β’ Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
β’ Strong technical expertise in CRM systems, API development, and software integration.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of business operations and process optimization.
β’ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
β’ PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
