F&G is looking to hire for a Project Portfolio Specialist

The Project Portfolio Specialist will primarily be responsible for supporting the continued build and maintenance of the Retail Portfolio. The Project Portfolio Specialist will be responsible for collaborating across Retail Sub Portfolios to develop a best of class portfolio experience from reporting to validation of the data within the Retail portfolio.  This position will be accountable for oversight of portfolio data and portfolio reporting within the PPM Tool and other tools as determined. 

This position reports directly to the Director, Retail Portfolio Management and will work closely with the Retail Implementation Leaders and Retail Project Managers.

This position will be part of the Retail Operations Portfolio Management Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain project portfolio by ensuring data is updated and available for portfolio leader’s assessments.
  • Maintain project portfolio reporting in F&G PPM tool of choice.
  • Work closely with Retail Reporting leaders to automate reporting as requirements are defined by portfolio leaders and business partners.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Leaders to support portfolio activities and general administration support as needed by Program/Project Managers
  • Schedule sub portfolio meetings and capture meeting notes (as needed)     
  • Follow up on action items with sub portfolio leaders and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow project management principles and practices to support the governance of the portfolio.
  • Assist in change management and risk management monitoring across the portfolio specifically as it pertains to the portfolio reporting and portfolio data.
  • Collaborate with sub portfolio managers to maintain resource capacity and demand tracking and create reporting that is useful and specific for Retail Leaders.
  • Assist in measuring portfolio performance by using appropriate tools and techniques, inclusive of working closely with Retail Portfolio leaders to automate reporting.
  • Report and escalate issues or concerns of the portfolio to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with Retail Sub Portfolio Leaders to support portfolio activities and general administration support as needed by Program/Project Managers.
  • Act as a liaison between Retail Portfolio Management and other teams. Facilitate communication and information exchange to ensure seamless collaboration on projects.
  • Participate in portfolio -related meetings to ensure productive outcomes.
  • Provide feedback on communications related to portfolio management.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years related work experience.                                         
  • Background in project coordination, capacity and demand management, reporting, and analysis
  • Insurance industry-specific experience preferred.                                          
  • Project training and PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.                                                
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple tasks.                         
  • Problem solving aptitude.
  • Data analysis aptitude                                                                                                           
  • Team player with good attitude and strong interpersonal skills                                          
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including the ability to develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.

  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
