  • Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, training, leadership presence, and continuous engagement with field teams and contractors.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce site-specific safety documentation, including safety plans, job hazard analyses, emergency response plans, and permit-to-work processes.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and field observations to identify risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting, ensuring timely resolution and corrective action tracking.
  • Serve as primary safety liaison for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies during audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and onboarding sessions to reinforce compliance and safe work practices.
  • Manage safety metrics, reporting, and documentation to support compliance, continuous improvement, and organizational visibility.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities, injury management, and drug and alcohol testing procedures as required.
  • Oversee procurement and distribution of PPE and safety-related equipment for project operations.
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred.
    • 3–5+ years of construction or energy/utility industry safety experience, with field-based project exposure.
    • OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications such as OSHA 510/500, CHST, CSP, ASP, or equivalent preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, EPA, CSA, etc.).
    • Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
    • Familiarity with construction environments such as electrical systems, heavy construction, and work-at-height operations.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to influence teams in the field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety/incident management systems.
    • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including exposure to outdoor and industrial conditions.
    • Valid driver’s license required and willingness to travel extensively (up to 76–100%).
    • Benefits:

      • Annual salary range: $96,000 – $120,000, plus bonus eligibility
      • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage starting on day one
      • 401(k) plan with 6% company match
      • Flexible savings accounts and health savings account with employer contribution
