ABOUT THE ROLE 

As the Project Sales Manager, you will take ownership of entire life cycle of customer orders to ensure successful completion of their bus builds. You will be responsible for reviewing bid/order specifications with customers, negotiating finalized requirements, and releasing sales orders. You will manage customers’ needs, requests and requirements.

As the Project Sales Manager, you will cross-functionally liaise, coordinate, and direct activities with customers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Care/Warranty, Accounting, Parts and numerous suppliers and vendors to ensure customer expectations are being satisfied. You will report to the Director, Sales Operations. 

  • Review, interpret and prepare preliminary sales order from bid specifications
  • Oversee the creation of Approved Equals, Deviations and Clarifications as needed for proposals
  • Maintain current cost quotes and technical databases
  • Conduct pre-production meetings with customers, issue meeting notes and release sales orders
  • Discuss and negotiate build details with customers to optimize customer satisfaction, bid compliance, production ease and cost control
  • Develop and maintain all related price summaries, bid/build documents, and customer communications for customer invoicing of final delivery and payment
  • Assist with customer acceptance, field issues and future orders. Use feedback to improve the process/product.
  • Respond promptly to customers and management requests and ensure proper completion of all projects
  • Entertain/Host customers (Dinners, Tours, Special Events) weekly (after hours)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of sales account management or customer service experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret bills of material, engineering drawings, customer specifications and requirements
  • Must be organized, accurate, and have the aptitude to manage, communicate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks on-time and within budget
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proven problem-solving skills to help resolve customer complaints or needs
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
  • Light travel may be required
  • Standard start time: 7:00 AM (negotiable)
  • Fast paced with tight timelines

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $275,000/annual salary + premium benefits  

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
