Project Solution Engineer

HBK’s Sound and Vibration Strategic Customer Project team are seeking candidates for the role of Project Solution Engineer, to be based in Virum, Denmark.

The project team delivers strategic or complex project solutions to our global customers, utilizing the HBK product portfolio, with a focus toward sound and vibration measurement, often in a wider multi-physics measurement setup.

As Project Solution Engineer in the Customer Project team, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Project Management, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support. You’ll also work closely with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define a clear technical vision for individual project solutions, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure and network components. Your responsibilities will span from project solution definition to creation.

The role would suit candidates with a broad engineering skillset and particular knowledge of PC and Network setup, who are motivated by the opportunity to further their skillset to best support the requirements of the project team.

The level of responsibility and technical independence of the role can be adapted depending on skillset. Although the anticipated responsibilities imply an experienced candidate, those who are in the early stages of engineering careers will also be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall technical solution definition.

• Technical Solution Ownership on specific strategic application.

• Define solution infrastructure for the customer projects, including components such as PC, servers, switches, network infrastructure, UPS, etc., ensuring performance requirements and data management are aligned with the solution requirements.

• Set-up, configure and test data acquisition solutions before delivery to the customer.

• Contribute defining acceptance criteria and procedures.

• Conduct integration and acceptance tests for strategic projects.

• Write technical documents to support project solutions, including system descriptions, technical compliance responses, acceptance documentation, and engineering documents

• Maintain our current project management tools (software) and take an active role in creating the future project management tool infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely product management and development to secure hardware and software deliverables in the project scope.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong technical background with an interest in working in a challenging and fast-paced technical sales company. Candidates should meet or exceed the following requirements:

• Degree in engineering, or similar STEM discipline

• Solid understanding of network infrastructure including components such as PC, Switches & UPS

• Software development / coding skillset

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure

• Project execution experience in Automotive or Aerospace & Defense industries will be preferred
