Job Description
The Project Specialist is responsible for partnering with the Business Development Manager and various Product Managers on the global ownership of orders and programs through the Integrated Drives business unit. This role will work cross functionality with many organizations throughout the company, including sales, operations, development engineering, IT, and customer care. Products supported within this role are customer and industry-focused packaged low voltage drive solutions.
From pre-sales engagement to shipment of the product, the Project Specialist will play an active role in ensuring success for our direct customers. In working with the various stakeholders and driving towards meeting customer expectations, this role is crucial to drive profitable growth in the IDB business unit. The role will provide leadership opportunities for order execution, system improvements, productivity enhancements, customer and sales engagement, and product standardization.
Innovation for continuous process enhancements will be fully supported in this opportunity. Suggestions on increased throughput throughout the processes will help our customers and business partners gain success from the value our organization brings. This role will blend various skills of project management and task execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the customer/sales in upfront quote execution
- Collaborate globally with various customer care personnel to provide timely order entry processes
- Work within the tools to help drive customer order schedules
- Communicate throughout the organization to ensure project deliverables are met, assist in support and project status tracing
- Establish meeting cadence for continual program/project updates as required
- Act as a liaison to global quoting teams in providing timely support as challenges arise
- Identify program or project risks and partner across the organization on how to reduce those risks
- This role will gain a valuable blend of business and technical knowledge through the various projects
- Strong communication skills to help guide the actions of engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations partners
- Help support legacy configured packaged drives for product obsolescence, last time buys, and component replacements to support active volume and revenue
- Assist in managing and administering product warranties
Basic Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or similar role.
- Team spirit in a highly engaging organization
- Success of being a deadline driven contributor and displaying leadership skills
- Solid organization and time-management skills
- Knowledge of SAP and the various functionality within the system
- Desire to expand knowledge of industrial automation
- Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus
