Your role at Baxter:

This individual will be a key player with responsibility for building and executing on communications strategies for Baxter's Round Lake Drug Delivery Manufacturing Facility while providing administrative support to the Site Director. The incumbent will support the execution of employee communications strategies by creating a variety of communications products and content (Articles, blogs, videos, presentations), creating brand awareness programs, and collecting feedback from employees/stakeholders for continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

Ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels, effectively balancing multiple tasks and priorities.

Own and manage communications channels through which general updates and messages are shared with the site including but not limited to:

Maintenance-related closures

Updates to the facility

Success stories

Safety incidents

Policy updates

Corporate executive site visits

Overtime notices

General focus areas (weekly)

Culture survey results (weekly)

Site performance overviews (weekly)

Monthly newsletters

Planned maintenance scheduling

Pay benefits and other notices

Training updates

Collaborate with IT to build and maintain the internal Round Lake Drug Delivery home page.

Own communications and culture webpage

Compile information for other departmental sites

Manage messaging portals:

Emails messages cascaded through Tier meetings

Flat screen TV content

Communication whiteboards

Posters and general signage

Weekly communication packets

Polling-kiosks

Measuring and reporting of key employee communications effectiveness metrics

Manage the site's Culture Change, Rewards and Recognition programs in partnership with HR

Coordinate site Inclusion, Diversity and Culture initiatives, Employee Appreciation events, etc.

Lead the sites iCare Program

Coordinate and conduct employee interviews to share their stories about how Baxter products impacted their lives

Develop patient stories

Create videos that draw an emotional link to our patients and boost product understanding including all required clearances: legal, human resources, etc.

Present at weekly new hire orientation

Ensure the program is 100% deployed across all areas

Work with plant-teams to coordinate/manage community-related events

Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to create content for the intranet site (articles, bios, video, photos), and manages content calendars to ensure new, fresh, and engaging content is updated to the site regularly

Creates content for employee events (invitations, presentations, videos) and assists with event planning and logistics

Coordinate logistics for key stakeholder visits

Participate in the weekly Site Leadership Team meetings

Communicate key takeaways to stakeholder groups through appropriate mechanisms e.g., weekly Plant Manager message

Develop/Prepare site-wide presentations including Town Hall and People Leader meetings

Track site performance metrics and disseminate in a form and through using channels that enable understanding.

  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude is needed to work with all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office
  • Successfully partner with others to identify and resolve problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Mass Communications or Marketing preferred)
  • 2 or more years of progressive experience in the communications field
  • 2 or more years of Graphic design and layout experience with Photoshop and InDesign preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.To that end, this position has a salary range of 52,800 to 96,000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
