Project Specialist, IT Data Operations

We are looking for a motivated individual to join Zayo Group as a Project Manager. In this role, you will work with IT leadership to ensure the completion of IT initiatives. You may be assigned to coordinate administrative tasks, inventory resources, and send staff deadline reminders, as well as run daily stand-ups, and other Scrum/Agile ceremonies. We are looking for a candidate who can be trusted to effectively coordinate the efforts of a project team with limited supervision and make sure the project is completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership, project managers, product managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate the team’s agile practices
• Be a servant leader for multiple teams and promote agile principles
• Track metrics around team goals and organizational needs
• Raise flags for teams or individuals potentially affecting iteration progress
• Call out interferences that can jeopardize goals and milestones
• Keep team members engaged, involved, and informed
• Maintain data integrity, completeness, and accuracy in team tools for work tracking and reporting
• Ensure meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, and retrospectives take place
• Escalate impediments that need resolution
• Schedule cross-functional meetings to create artifacts as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years experience as a business analyst or project manager
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about delivering great experiences to customers
• Desire to help teams deliver greatness
• Structured in planning and coordination
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• You are someone who gets excited about serving a team and keeping the business moving
• You are excited about technology and how it can be applied to the working environment
• You don’t fear the unknown and want to be coached/mentored

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience with Scrum/Agile and software development concepts
• Practical experience as Scrum Master for teams
• Experience with agile tools and processes
• Can communicate the most valuable information with the least amount of effort
• Able to influence and coach the organization on continuous improvement

Base pay range: $63,750 - 89,250 commensurate with experience.
