Project Superintendent

CORE Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on a large-scale commercial project in Southern Nevada. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from UG Utilities to Punch List, including but not limited to the following: • Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices. • Quality control, holding trade partners accountable and making sure deficiencies are corrected. • Creating, maintaining and communicating the project schedule to the trade partners. • Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination through daily communication and actions. • Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges and unforeseen conditions. • Review all drawings, specifications, and submittals. • Create and distribute daily progress reports and weekly schedule look ahead. The right candidate will have the following experience/capabilities: • At least 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Building Superintendent, preferably in Southern Nevada. • Have experience with and a general understanding of structural concrete and structural steel components. • Have a general understanding of MEP systems. • Have a general understanding of UG civil utilities and earthwork in general. • Have a general understanding of the public works side of commercial construction. • Have a general understanding of interior and exterior finishes and their sequencing. • Have experience with Procore. • Be able to pass a background check. At CORE the superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE’s best practices in safety, quality, schedule, and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. Our projects are often for a wide range of clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities and more. This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
