Proposal Manager

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Proposal Manager. As a Proposal Manager you will communicate about ModivCare and our services in a range of media -- including formal written proposals as well as electronic/paper public-facing documents/brochures. The primary responsibility for this position is business retention and new business development (RFPs). You will report to the Director of Proposal Management.

You will...

• Attend proposal-planning sessions to ensure all members understand the proposal requirement, and develop a specific focus for each bid response.
• Participate in mapping sessions with the Proposal Team to determine the direction and focus for every proposal response commitment.
• Work with experts to assimilate content into a content library to provide the most up-to-date content for use in external communications.
• Work in collaboration with the Proposal Project Manager to ensure proposals are formatted and meet expected standards as outlined in the bid request.
• Write and edit proposals and communications
• Easily adapt to the changing requirements of the proposal plan or other related production requirements.
• Provide documentation and other follow-up materials related to informational learning reviews for continued process improvement
• Look for ways to further enhance all documentation through the use of graphics and other visuals to enhance readability and interest.
• Provide editorial support on all departmental collateral materials including company brochures, case studies, manuals, and other documents as assigned.
• Network and establish relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization and with outside contacts.
• Resolve challenges
• Review a customer request and understand all the related document requirements
• Participate in other fact-finding projects in preparation for solicitations.
• Work under tight timeframes

We are excited to speak to someone with the following...

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or English, or equivalent education and work-related experience in state or federal government proposals, healthcare writing, marketing, or corporate communications.
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience writing compliant and engaging responses for government or commercial RFPs, journalistic editorials, or other client-facing publications.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Experience working as part of a project-oriented team in a high-volume project environment.
• Experience with other page-setting or graphics programs
• Experience in the use and development of collaborative and document management systems --a plus
• Proficiency in writing succinct narratives with the ability to proofread and edit content for accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Leadership experience
