Proposal Manager

As a Proposal Manager you drive new revenue growth as the primary point of contact for incoming Request for Proposals (RFPs).  You will oversee our proposal process including task delegation, response editing, and submission.  You will work with internal teams to create deliverables that match customer requirements and timeframes including drafting, writing, formatting, and editing proposal documents.

• Execute all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
• Lead cross-functionally to create and execute a proposal project plan and submit compliant and responsive proposals for RFPs 
• Work closely with Capture Managers to ensure proposal response timelines and requirements are met
• Produce proposal outlines, compliant Requirement Traceability Matrices, and instructions for creating a proposal that meets the dictated customer requirements
• Lead a collaborative team to develop proposal volumes that clearly articulate the team solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators
• Hold kick-off, debrief, and regular status meetings with the proposal team 
• Ensure proposals and presentations are consistent across the organization
• Report proposal progress to executive management
• Maintain the RFP response database
• Promote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
• Brings new ideas to the proposal process
• Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)

• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances

• 5-7+ years experience in project management, technical writing, or similar role
• 3+ years of experience designing and producing RFPs for the US Government, including designing, planning, and delivering content solutions that meet the needs of technical business customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with creating, using and following a template for proposal responses
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• 10% Travel Required

• Experience with data tracking and analysis
• Proficiency at optimizing processes
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams on documentation for a technical audience, such as developers, DevOps, IT professionals, or engineers
