The Role 

As a Proposal Writer in our Sales and Marketing team you will develop and write high-quality proposals that support our business development goals. In this role, you will be responsible for creating persuasive bid documents that align with Macquarie Telecom’s client needs and our organisational objectives. You will collaborate with various departments to gather information and craft tailored proposals that reflect our company’s strengths. 

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the proposal writing process from initial concept to final submission. 
• Develop clear and well-structured proposals that address client requirements and highlight our capabilities. 
• Write content for various sections of proposals, including executive summaries, technical approaches, and project management plans. 
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather accurate and relevant information. 
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect necessary documentation and insights for proposal development. 
• Conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning. 
• Edit and proofread proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency, incorporating feedback as needed. 

Your Ideal Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
• Proven experience in proposal writing or a related role, with a track record of securing contracts. 
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail. 
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex technical information. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with proposal management software, ideally Seismic. 
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with teams.
