Proposal/Technical Writer

CDR|EM seeks a highly motivated and experienced Proposal Manager and Writer to join our team. The Proposal Manager and Writer will manage the end-to-end proposal process, from identifying opportunities to delivering final proposals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and writing winning proposals and the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop proposal strategies and solutions that meet the customer’s needs.

• Lead and manage the proposal process, including organizing and leading proposal kick-off meetings, proposal development and review meetings, and final proposal delivery.

• Develop and write compelling proposal content, including executive summaries, solution descriptions, and technical responses.

• Edit and proofread proposals to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with customer requirements.

• Research to understand customer needs and competitor offerings and incorporate this information into proposals.

• Manage and maintain a library of proposal content and templates, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.

• Develop and maintain a proposal schedule and meet all deadlines.

• Coordinate with proposal team members to ensure all proposal sections are complete and aligned with the overall proposal strategy.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to proposal team members, including technical subject matter experts and proposal coordinators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, English, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in proposal management and writing, preferably in a technical field.

• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple proposals simultaneously.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to write compelling proposal content

that clearly articulates the solution’s value.

• Experience working with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop proposal strategies and solutions.

• Knowledge of proposal development best practices, formats, tools, and review processes.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead proposal meetings and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and proposal management software.
