Propulsion Engineer, Senior

York Space Systems is looking for a talented Propulsion Engineer that will contribute to the growth and development of our core products. This individual will work across a variety of programs, apply different propulsion technologies, and have a direct influence on both commercial and national security missions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide ownership of propulsion systems through their life cycle, from vendor selection, through AI&T, and on-orbit operations
- Working with propulsion hardware suppliers and internal supply chain teams to drive and support procurement
- Perform delta-v calculations based on mission requirements
- Validate propulsion interfaces and collaborate with other spacecraft systems engineer to resolve technical issues
- Generate and release system-level specifications, support design and engineering reviews
- Perform and aid in testing, fueling, and verification of flight and ground hardware
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related technical field required
- In-depth understanding of electric and chemical propulsion systems and their subcomponents
- Experience working with suppliers to support procurement of propulsion systems
- Hands on hardware experience
- Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment
- Good communicator with a desire to strengthen the entire team
